On site since 2012, we have delivered a range of infrastructure packages and roads to establish the site in preparation for the redevelopment of the former army site. Then, in October 2017, we were awarded a further contract to build 107 homes, a combination of apartments and houses in the Gunhill Zone of the 110-acre development.

The Gunhill Zone is the next phase in Wellesley’s story, an exciting new neighbourhood in the heart of the Hampshire countryside – creating 3,850 new homes on former Army Garrison Land in Aldershot. As well as new homes, the new neighbourhood will also feature the refurbishment of six iconic listed buildings, a variety of community facilities, green open spaces, two primary schools and more.

Designed in partnership with our architect we have self-delivered 107 quality new homes, completing works on the substructures, foundations, drainage, frames, hard landscaping and street furniture. Fellow Carey Group company, BDL Dry Lining, has supplied numerous dry lining packages, with the remaining works completed by a selection of sub-contractors, specially chosen to ensure works are delivered to the meticulously high standards we set ourselves and vigorously maintain.

The recently completed development offers those looking for a rental property a range of 1 and 2-bedroom low-rise apartments, and 3 and 4-bedroom houses, complete with modern amenities and appliances, providing renters hassle-free, modern living and the opportunity for families and young couples to put down roots.

The development is managed directly by Grainger plc, the UK’s largest provider of modern rental homes, where residents will benefit from Grainger’s expertise, professionalism and commitment to great service, including dedicated onsite management, repairs and maintenance teams.
