Volunteering at MK Hospital
Careys Midlands region recently supported a volunteering project at a local hospital in Milton Keynes, helping to improve outdoor spaces for patients, staff and visitors.
The team laid a new concrete slab to create a dedicated outdoor seating area, providing a safe and welcoming space. This gives people the opportunity to sit, relax and most importantly take a break from being in the hospital.
In addition, our volunteers constructed a firebreak walkway to provide safe access to the hospital’s air conditioning unit. They also carried out general tidying and gardening work within the Cancer Centre garden. These improvements have enhanced both the facilities and appearance of the outdoor areas, creating a more pleasant environment for everyone.
